Welcome to the Jávea Players web site THANK YOU FOR THIS VISIT TO OUR WEBSITE We hope you will become a frequent visitor and find your visits informative and useful. Our aim is to tell you a little about ourselves, to keep you up to date with our productions and activities and say a very big welcome if you would like to join us as a member, a friend or a member of our audiences. We are the oldest and arguably the premier amateur theatre group on the Costa Blanca. Our first production, ‘Murder by Request’ was staged way back in 1976. We are based at our Studio Theatre where we audition, rehearse, build scenery, socialize and stage studio productions. We currently stage five productions a year: A Spring and Autumn production at the Union Musical, Gata. Two Studio Theatre productions and an outdoor Summer Show with dinner. We also produce a number of radio plays each year for local English language radio stations. In addition to full membership and junior membership (for those aged between 14 & 18), we have for those who are interested in the theatre but do not wish to play an active part in productions the option to become a 'Friend' of Jávea Players.
